I wish I knew who this quote is from: “The only reason people get lost in thought is because it’s unfamiliar territory.” That is simply priceless and I must admit that I’ve already appropriated it for use later. I find it to be absolutely true as I believe that thinking for oneself is something that is dying out of the species.
I appreciate Angelina Jolie’s thoughts: “There’s something about death that is comforting. The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate life now.” When we are aware that there is an end to everything, we are inspired to make the most of it. Just recently, I heard about the sudden death of someone I know and this type of news always reminds me to value life while you still have it.
